All license candidates must complete an approved pre-licensing training course. Redeem your agency-sponsored training voucher directly on the official registration portal:
Redeem ExamFX Voucher →Work through your ExamFX interactive modules and study materials. You must study diligently until scoring 70% or higher on both core simulator sections: General Insurance and State Law. Note that ExamFX sends daily candidate progress reports directly to Martin to track your readiness.
Once you achieve a 70%+ score on both practice simulator sections, Martin Eichhorn will issue your official School Completion Certificate. This certificate is state-mandated and verifies you have met the formal Illinois educational requirements to sit for the state board exam.
Create your candidate account on the official Illinois testing portal. This portal is used to schedule and pay for your official state licensing exam.
Pearson VUE Illinois Portal →Register for your exam on Pearson VUE. The state exam consists of two parts: General Insurance and State Law.
After passing both portions, you will receive an immediate printout score report and passing certificate. Submit this certificate along with your official application and licensing fee to the Illinois Department of Insurance to issue your license, which is renewed biennially (every two years).
